Ingredients
Scale
Cheese and Dairy
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)
Vegetables
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 medium bell pepper (any color), thinly sliced
Meat
- 8 oz thinly sliced steak (such as ribeye or sirloin)
Seasonings and Oils
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
For Serving
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
- Tortilla chips or sliced baguette
Instructions
- Gather your ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients by slicing the onion, bell pepper, and steak. Soften the cream cheese to room temperature for easier mixing.
- Cook the steak. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced steak along with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until the meat is browned and cooked through.
- Sauté the vegetables. In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are soft and slightly caramelized.
- Combine cheeses and cooked ingredients. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with shredded provolone until smooth. Gently fold in the sautéed steak, onions, and bell peppers until well combined.
- Bake the dip. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and evenly sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.
- Serve warm. Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm with tortilla chips or sliced baguette for dipping.
Notes
- Use freshly sliced ribeye or sirloin for best flavor and tenderness.
- Softening the cream cheese beforehand ensures a smoother dip texture.
- You can substitute provolone with mozzarella or cheddar if preferred.
- For extra spice, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes when cooking the steak.
- This dip can be made ahead and refrigerated; reheat in the oven before serving.
