Ingredients
Scale
Chicken and Seasoning
- 1 pound Chicken Tenders (boneless chicken breasts or thighs also work)
- 2 tablespoons Blackened Seasoning (pre-made or homemade)
- 2 tablespoons Oil (olive or avocado oil)
Slider Components
- 12 pieces Hawaiian Slider Buns (or dinner rolls)
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
- 1/2 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s Golden Mustard (or regular honey mustard)
- 8 slices Bacon (pre-cooked strips save time)
- 4 slices Colby Jack Cheese (or any mild cheese)
- 1 cup Lettuce (iceberg or romaine)
- 1/2 cup Red Onion (optional)
- 1 cup Roma Tomatoes (or cherry tomatoes)
Garlic Butter Spread
- 2 tablespoons Butter (softened for easy spreading)
- 2 teaspoons Garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon Parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- Marinate Chicken: In a bowl, combine the chicken tenders with blackened seasoning and oil. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Cook Chicken: Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken tenders for approximately 3 minutes on each side until they are fully cooked through and achieve a nice charred exterior.
- Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix softened butter with chopped parsley and minced garlic. Warm this mixture slightly to make it easy to spread.
- Toast Buns: Slice the Hawaiian slider buns in half horizontally. Place them cut side up under a broiler for 2-3 minutes until they turn golden brown; watch carefully to avoid burning.
- Assemble Sliders: Spread a layer of mayonnaise on the bottom halves of the buns. Layer each with cooked chicken tenders, drizzle with honey mustard, and add a slice of Colby Jack cheese on top.
- Finish Sliders: Spread the garlic butter mixture on the top halves of the buns and place them under the broiler until the cheese melts and becomes bubbly. Next, top each slider with bacon slices, lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions, then drizzle any remaining honey mustard over them.
- Serve: Place the top buns on the assembled sliders, slice each in half for easier handling, and serve warm to enjoy the full, savory flavors.
Notes
- Pre-cooked bacon can be used to save time during preparation.
- For a lighter dip option, substitute mayonnaise with Greek yogurt.
- If you do not have blackened seasoning, use a blend of paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper as a homemade alternative.
- Watch the buns closely under the broiler to prevent burning as they toast quickly.
- Adding red onion is optional based on personal preference for additional crunch and flavor.
