Description

A comforting and aromatic Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea made by steeping black tea with cinnamon, sweetened with honey, and enriched with milk and vanilla extract. This warm beverage offers a perfect balance of spice and sweetness, ideal for a cozy tea time.

Ingredients

Scale

Tea Base

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 black tea bag or 1 tablespoon loose leaf black tea
  • 1 cinnamon stick or 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Sweetener

  • 1 tablespoon honey or sweetener of choice (adjust to taste)

Milk & Flavoring

  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based like almond or oat milk)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (optional for extra warmth)

Instructions

  1. Boil Water and Add Tea and Cinnamon: Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a small saucepan. Add the cinnamon stick or ground cinnamon along with the black tea bag or loose leaf tea.
  2. Steep Tea: Allow the tea to steep for 4-5 minutes, adjusting the time based on how strong you prefer your tea.
  3. Remove Tea Leaves and Sweeten: Remove the tea bag or strain out the loose leaf tea. Stir in 1 tablespoon of honey or your preferred sweetener to taste.
  4. Add Milk and Flavorings: Pour in 1/2 cup milk, add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and optional 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger. Stir well and gently heat over low heat until the mixture is warm and slightly frothy.
  5. Serve: Pour the milk tea into a mug, remove the cinnamon stick if used, and enjoy warm for a soothing and aromatic experience.

Notes

  • You can substitute the black tea with any tea of your choice like green or chai blend for a different flavor profile.
  • Adjust the sweetness and spices according to your personal preference for a milder or stronger taste.
  • The ground ginger is optional but adds a nice warmth and depth to the drink.
  • Plant-based milks like almond or oat milk work well for a dairy-free version.
  • Heat gently after adding milk to avoid curdling and to maintain a smooth texture.
