Description

Strawberry Banana Cream Delight is a no-bake, creamy dessert featuring a crunchy graham cracker crust, smooth cream cheese filling folded with whipped cream, fresh banana and strawberry slices, all topped with a glossy strawberry glaze. It’s a refreshing and light dessert perfect for warm days or a simple yet elegant treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar

Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped to stiff peaks

Fruit & Glaze

  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup strawberry preserves, warmed slightly

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar until evenly mixed. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×9-inch baking dish to form an even crust. Place the crust in the refrigerator to chill while preparing the filling.
  2. Make the Filling: Using a mixer, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Then gently fold in the whipped heavy cream, being careful not to deflate it, until fully incorporated and light.
  3. Assemble the Layers: Spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the chilled graham cracker crust. Arrange the banana slices evenly on top of the filling, followed by a layer of sliced strawberries.
  4. Add the Glaze: Warm the strawberry preserves slightly to loosen, then drizzle it gently over the fruit layers. Use a spatula or spoon to spread the glaze evenly without disturbing the fruit layers.
  5. Chill and Serve: Cover the dessert and refrigerate it for at least 2 hours to allow it to set and the flavors to meld. When ready, slice into 9 pieces and serve chilled. Store any leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for a smooth filling without lumps.
  • Whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks to help maintain the lightness of the filling.
  • Use fresh, ripe bananas and strawberries for the best flavor and texture.
  • Warm the strawberry preserves gently to avoid melting the fruit or filling.
  • This dessert is best enjoyed within 2 days for freshness.
