Description

This indulgent Snickers Cheesecake combines a rich, creamy cheesecake base with a crunchy Oreo cookie crust and generous chunks of Snickers bars. Topped with luscious caramel and hot fudge sauces along with whipped cream and extra Snickers, it’s a perfect dessert for chocolate and candy lovers.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 20 Oreo cookies, finely crushed
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Filling

  • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped Snickers bars, divided

Topping

  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup hot fudge sauce
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Extra chopped Snickers bars (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). In a medium bowl, combine the finely crushed Oreo cookies with the melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even crust layer. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool while preparing the filling.
  2. Make the filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar together until smooth and creamy. Add the vanilla extract and blend well to incorporate. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully mixed before adding the next. Stir in the sour cream and flour, mixing just until the batter is smooth to avoid overworking.
  3. Fold in Snickers: Gently fold 1 cup of the chopped Snickers bars into the cheesecake batter, distributing them evenly but carefully to maintain the texture.
  4. Assemble and bake: Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled Oreo crust and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 55–65 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center slightly jiggles when gently shaken.
  5. Cool the cheesecake: Once baking is complete, turn off the oven and crack the door open. Let the cheesecake cool inside the oven for 1 hour to prevent cracking. Then remove from the oven and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow it to fully set and develop flavors.
  6. Add toppings and serve: Before serving, drizzle the top with caramel sauce and hot fudge sauce. Optionally, add whipped cream and sprinkle with the remaining chopped Snickers bars for extra texture and sweetness. Slice carefully, wiping the knife between cuts for clean portions.

Notes

  • For clean slices, wipe the knife between each cut to prevent sticking and crumbling.
  • Use room temperature cream cheese and eggs to ensure a smooth, lump-free batter for the cheesecake.
  • This cheesecake can be made a day ahead and stored covered in the refrigerator to enhance flavors and ease serving.
