Description

This Peppermint Marshmallow Latte is a festive and cozy holiday drink that combines rich Nespresso coffee with creamy peppermint-infused marshmallow milk and topped with whipped cream and crushed candy canes for a sweet, minty finish.

  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream (35%)
  • 1 tablespoon icing sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

Garnish

  • 1 teaspoon crushed candy canes

Instructions

  1. Brew the Coffee: Brew 2 cups of Nespresso coffee using your preferred Nespresso machine and keep it hot for serving.
  2. Heat Cream and Melt Marshmallows: In a small saucepan, heat 1/2 cup of half & half cream over medium heat until bubbles form around the edges. Add 1/4 cup mini marshmallows and whisk continuously until the marshmallows have fully melted into the cream, creating a smooth mixture.
  3. Add Peppermint Extract: Stir in 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract to the melted marshmallow creamer, then remove the saucepan from heat to prevent further cooking.
  4. Whip the Heavy Cream: In a chilled bowl, whip 1/4 cup of cold heavy whipping cream until it starts to thicken slightly.
  5. Add Sugar and Peppermint: Incorporate 1 tablespoon of icing sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract into the partially whipped cream. Continue whipping until the cream reaches your desired consistency, soft yet fluffy.
  6. Combine Coffee and Creamer: Pour the hot brewed Nespresso coffee into mugs, then add the warm peppermint marshmallow creamer, stirring gently to blend.
  7. Top with Whipped Cream: Spoon the peppermint whipped cream topping generously over each latte.
