Scale
Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Prepare the Instant Pot: Place the steam rack inside the bottom of the Instant Pot and pour in 1 cup of water.
- Add the eggs: Carefully place 6 large eggs on the steam rack inside the Instant Pot, ensuring they are not submerged in water.
- Seal the lid: Close the lid securely and set the valve to the sealing position to prepare for pressure cooking.
- Cook the eggs: Set the Instant Pot to manual pressure cook mode for 5 minutes.
- Natural release: Allow the pressure to naturally release for 5 minutes after cooking completes.
- Quick release: Carefully perform a quick release to release any remaining pressure.
- Cool and peel: Immediately run the eggs under cold water or place them in an ice bath to stop cooking, then peel and serve.
Notes
- For easier peeling, eggs should be cooled quickly in an ice bath immediately after cooking.
- Adjust cooking times slightly for softer or firmer yolks according to preference.
- Use fresh eggs for the best texture but note that slightly older eggs peel more easily.
- Ensure the Instant Pot valve is properly sealed before cooking to maintain pressure.
