Description

Delicious, soft garlic knots made from pizza dough, baked to golden perfection and brushed with a flavorful garlic butter sauce. Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side dish, these knots are infused with fresh garlic, parsley, and optional Parmesan cheese for an irresistible aroma and taste.

Ingredients

Scale

Garlic Knots Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
  2. Shape the Knots: Divide the pizza dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope about 6-8 inches long, then tie each into a loose knot. Arrange the knots on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
  3. Bake the Knots: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the knots for 12-15 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and are cooked through.
  4. Prepare the Garlic Butter: While the knots bake, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat or in the microwave. Stir in the minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt. If using Parmesan cheese, add it now and stir until combined.
  5. Coat the Knots: Once the garlic knots are out of the oven, immediately brush them generously with the warm garlic butter mixture so they absorb all the flavor.
  6. Serve: Serve the garlic knots warm, optionally with extra garlic butter for dipping or alongside marinara sauce for a tasty snack or side dish.

Notes

  • For a stronger garlic flavor, increase the amount of minced garlic or let the garlic infuse in the melted butter for a few minutes before brushing.
  • Use fresh parsley for best flavor, but dried parsley can substitute if needed.
  • If you prefer a cheesy twist, sprinkle additional Parmesan on top of the knots before baking.
  • These knots can be reheated in the oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes to regain crispness.
  • Try serving with marinara or ranch dipping sauce for variation.
