Garlic Knots Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- Shape the Knots: Divide the pizza dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope about 6-8 inches long, then tie each into a loose knot. Arrange the knots on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
- Bake the Knots: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the knots for 12-15 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and are cooked through.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: While the knots bake, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat or in the microwave. Stir in the minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt. If using Parmesan cheese, add it now and stir until combined.
- Coat the Knots: Once the garlic knots are out of the oven, immediately brush them generously with the warm garlic butter mixture so they absorb all the flavor.
- Serve: Serve the garlic knots warm, optionally with extra garlic butter for dipping or alongside marinara sauce for a tasty snack or side dish.
Notes
- For a stronger garlic flavor, increase the amount of minced garlic or let the garlic infuse in the melted butter for a few minutes before brushing.
- Use fresh parsley for best flavor, but dried parsley can substitute if needed.
- If you prefer a cheesy twist, sprinkle additional Parmesan on top of the knots before baking.
- These knots can be reheated in the oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes to regain crispness.
- Try serving with marinara or ranch dipping sauce for variation.
