Description

A quick and flavorful recipe featuring tender garlic butter steak bites paired with sweet caramelized pineapple chunks. Perfect for a savory and slightly sweet dish that comes together in just 25 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak

  • 1 lb beef sirloin or ribeye, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Freshly ground black pepper (for garnish)

Pineapple

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional)
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak: Season the beef cubes with salt and pepper to ensure they are well flavored.
  2. Heat the Oil: Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat to prepare for searing the steak.
  3. Sear the Steak Bites: Add the beef cubes to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. Cook the Pineapple: In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of butter and the pineapple chunks. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the pineapple is slightly caramelized, then remove and set aside.
  5. Make the Garlic Butter: Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Add Soy Sauce and Honey (Optional): Stir in soy sauce and honey to the garlic butter for an extra layer of flavor.
  7. Combine and Toss: Return the steak bites and caramelized pineapple to the skillet. Toss everything together thoroughly in the garlic butter sauce until well coated.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper for added spice and serve immediately for best taste.

Notes

  • Use fresh pineapple chunks for the best flavor and texture.
  • Soy sauce and honey are optional, but they add a nice sweet and savory balance.
  • Adjust cooking time of steak bites depending on your preferred doneness.
  • Serve with steamed rice or a fresh salad to make a complete meal.
