Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 5 ounces Hot Apple Cider
- 2 ounces Fireball Whiskey
Optional Garnishes
- 1 ounce Cool Apple Cider (for rimming the glass)
- Cinnamon Sugar (for rimming the glass)
- Red Apple Slices (3 thin slices, for garnish)
- Cinnamon Sticks (1 stick, for garnish)
- Whole Star Anise (a couple for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Glass Rim: Pour about 1 ounce of cool apple cider onto a small plate. Dip the rim of your serving glass into the cider, coating it evenly.
- Coat with Cinnamon Sugar: Place cinnamon sugar onto a clean plate. Gently press the wet rim of the glass into the cinnamon sugar to create a sweet, spiced border.
- Add Fireball Whiskey: Pour 2 ounces of Fireball whiskey into the prepared glass carefully, ensuring you do not disturb the cinnamon sugar rim.
- Add Hot Apple Cider: Pour 5 ounces of hot apple cider into the glass. The ingredients will naturally blend, creating a smooth, flavorful cocktail.
- Garnish with Apple Slices: Stack three thin apple slices and fan them out on a cocktail pick. Rest the pick on the front side of the glass slightly to one side for an elegant look.
- Add Cinnamon Stick and Star Anise: Insert one cinnamon stick on the opposite side of the apple garnish inside the glass. Place a couple of whole star anise pods into the drink for aroma and decoration.
- Serve and Enjoy: Present your Fireball Apple Cider warm and savor the cozy, spicy flavors perfect for fall and winter occasions.
Notes
- Use freshly heated apple cider for the best flavor and warmth.
- If you prefer a less sweet drink, reduce the Fireball whiskey to 1.5 ounces.
- Apple slices can be substituted with pear slices for a different fruity note.
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the Fireball and add extra apple cider with a cinnamon stick.
- Be careful when heating apple cider to avoid boiling, which can alter the flavor.
