Description

The Fireball Apple Cider is a cozy and spicy warm cocktail that combines the sweetness of apple cider with the bold cinnamon kick of Fireball Whiskey. Perfect for chilly evenings or festive gatherings, this simple yet flavorful drink is garnished with cinnamon sugar, apple slices, cinnamon sticks, and whole star anise to enhance its aromatic appeal. Ready in just 5 minutes, it offers a delightful balance of warmth and spice in every sip.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 5 ounces Hot Apple Cider
  • 2 ounces Fireball Whiskey

Optional Garnishes

  • 1 ounce Cool Apple Cider (for rimming the glass)
  • Cinnamon Sugar (for rimming the glass)
  • Red Apple Slices (thinly sliced and fanned on a cocktail pick)
  • Cinnamon Sticks
  • Whole Star Anise

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass Rim: Pour about 1 ounce of cool apple cider onto a small plate and dip the rim of your glass into it to moisten if you plan to garnish the rim.
  2. Coat the Rim with Cinnamon Sugar: Place cinnamon sugar on a clean plate and gently roll the wet rim of the glass in it to coat evenly. Be careful not to disturb this coating later.
  3. Add Fireball Whiskey: Pour 2 ounces of Fireball Whiskey into the glass carefully so as not to wash off the cinnamon sugar from the rim.
  4. Add Hot Apple Cider: Pour 5 ounces of hot apple cider into the glass. The drink will naturally mix itself as you pour.
  5. Prepare Apple Slice Garnish: Stack three thin red apple slices on a cocktail pick and fan them out. Position the pick so it rests at the front side of the glass for a decorative touch.
  6. Add Final Garnishes: Place a cinnamon stick inside the glass on the side opposite the apple fan, then add a couple of whole star anise pods into the drink for aroma and aesthetics.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Present your Fireball Apple Cider warm and garnish-adorned, ready to be savored.

Notes

  • Use hot apple cider fresh from the stove or warmed in the microwave to maintain warmth.
  • The cinnamon sugar rim adds a sweet and spicy flavor contrast to each sip.
  • Garnishes are optional but add to the visual appeal and aromatic experience.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the Fireball whiskey and add extra apple cider with cinnamon.
  • Adjust the amount of Fireball whiskey according to your preferred strength.
