Description

These Classic Cheeseburger Sliders are perfect for gatherings or a fun family meal, featuring juicy seasoned beef patties topped with melted cheddar cheese, nestled in soft slider buns. Simple to prepare and baked to perfection, they can be customized with your favorite toppings like lettuce, tomato, pickles, and sauces.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Patties

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Sliders

  • 12 slider buns
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese, halved
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, mustard
  • Optional: melted butter for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the assembled sliders.
  2. Prepare the Beef Patties: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to evenly distribute the seasonings without overworking the meat.
  3. Shape the Patties: Divide the seasoned beef mixture into 12 equal portions. Shape each portion into a small, evenly sized patty that will fit the slider buns.
  4. Cook the Patties: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat.
  5. Assemble the Sliders: Place one cooked patty on the bottom half of each slider bun. Top each patty with half a slice of cheddar cheese and cover with the top bun. Optionally, brush the tops of the buns with melted butter for extra flavor.
  6. Bake the Sliders: Arrange the assembled sliders on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the buns are slightly toasted.
  7. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve immediately. Add desired optional toppings such as lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, or mustard to customize your sliders.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the ground beef to keep patties tender.
  • Cooking time for patties may vary based on thickness—ensure they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for safety.
  • Optional toppings can be added before or after baking depending on preference.
  • For extra flavor, consider brushing buns with melted butter mixed with a pinch of garlic powder before baking.
  • Sliders are best served fresh and warm but can be stored refrigerated for up to 2 days.
