- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
Cheese and Garnish
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the rollups.
- Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and spread it flat on a baking sheet lined with parchment or a non-stick surface.
- Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with garlic powder, salt, and dried parsley, mixing well.
- Brush Dough: Generously brush the garlic butter mixture all over the surface of the dough to evenly coat it with flavor.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan evenly across the dough ensuring every bite will be cheesy.
- Roll and Slice: Roll the dough tightly into a log shape, then slice it into individual rolls of even size.
- Bake: Arrange the rolls on the baking sheet spaced slightly apart. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until they turn golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from oven and sprinkle fresh chopped parsley on top for a fresh, vibrant finish before serving warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter mixture.
- Ensure the dough is rolled tightly to prevent the cheese from leaking out during baking.
- These rollups are best served warm on the day they’re made for maximum softness and flavor.
- You can substitute mozzarella with any cheese of your choice, such as cheddar or pepper jack, for variety.
