Description
This rich and creamy Cheesecake Milkshake combines the indulgent flavors of classic cheesecake with smooth vanilla frozen yogurt and a hint of sweetness from frosting and sprinkles. Perfect for a quick dessert or a special treat, this milkshake is beautifully presented with a sprinkle-coated glass rim, whipped cream topping, and a maraschino cherry garnish.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Glass Rim
- 2 tablespoons vanilla frosting
- 2 tablespoons rainbow sprinkles
For the Milkshake
- 2 slices cheesecake with graham cracker crust (plain or with fruit/chocolate swirl)
- 1 1/2 cups vanilla frozen yogurt or vanilla ice cream
- 1/4 cup milk
For Garnish
- Whipped cream, for topping
- Maraschino cherries, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Glass Rim: Using a butter knife, evenly smear the vanilla frosting around the rim of a large malt or milkshake glass. This frosting acts as an adhesive for the sprinkles.
- Coat the Glass Rim with Sprinkles: Pour the rainbow sprinkles onto a shallow plate. Gently roll the frosting-coated rim of the glass in the sprinkles, pressing lightly to ensure they stick evenly and create a colorful border. Set aside the prepared glass for serving later.
- Blend the Milkshake: In a high-quality blender, add the cheesecake slices, vanilla frozen yogurt or ice cream, and milk. Blend the ingredients for about 30 seconds or until the mixture is smooth and creamy with no lumps remaining. Take care not to over-blend to avoid thinning the milkshake excessively.
- Serve and Garnish: Pour the blended milkshake into the prepared sprinkle-coated glasses. Generously top with whipped cream and finish each shake with a maraschino cherry placed on top for the classic dessert look. Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
Notes
- You can use either vanilla frozen yogurt or vanilla ice cream depending on your preference for a lighter or richer milkshake.
- For variety, select cheesecake slices with fruit or chocolate swirls to add an extra flavor dimension.
- Make sure not to overblend to maintain the milkshake’s thick and creamy texture.
- If you prefer a thicker shake, reduce the milk slightly or add more frozen yogurt or ice cream.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute frozen yogurt and milk with plant-based alternatives.
